Hudson Park & Beach

Just dropped in at this local park and paid the non resident parking fee. Hot as heck, but there was enough shade and the park feels like visiting family, because there are kids and families swimming in the river, maybe from a summer camp? The children’s greenhouse and the deconstructed stone mansion on site are beautifully done. Would be an amazing place for an outdoor wedding. Amazing. Thank you, New Rochelle, for swimming in the river and showing us a wholey different New York.

Restrooms are locked or fenced in due to "remodeling". There are port-a-potties but they are locked. The park and beach are beautiful and very clean but the downfall was the fact that there are no restrooms. It is calm and serene here...It is nice to view the horizon at night or just enjoy the day and sit on the grass or walk around, ride a bike or scooter, etc.

It’s the only free beach I’ve seen within Jersey, NY & Connecticut so can’t complain. Nice little area to get in the water. Water was clean. There are lifeguards, showers, bathrooms and a nice view of the ocean. You can sit and relax or go into the beach area. All free. If you wanna park inside then you have to pay like $10 but there is street parking right outside if available. All handicap accessible and there’s a playground for kids too! Very relaxed on a Sunday afternoon. No loud music or craziness.

I love coming here and getting way from the city. Atmosphere is amazing. My kids and I really enjoy this place! Please keep the upgrades coming ❤️.
