We had our generator installed in September, and Melissa and Chris were absolutely amazing every step of the way. They helped us get rid of the old generator, get the proper permits, plan out installation dates and times alongside the propane company, all while answering the 1 million questions we had.. it really is one stop service at the highest level. Feeling extra grateful today as we lost power this morning and the generator kicked on immediately. Highly recommend this husband and wife team!! Thanks for everything you guys!!

The owner, Chris Weigert, is very responsive if any service issues should arise - at anytime - on a Generac generator. He, and his wife, are the epitome of customer service excellence. In addition, the annual generator maintenance services are always performed very efficiently by a great staff to ensure the ongoing proper working order of the generator. If any issue should ever arise, they are always ready to assist as necessary.

Two of my friends raved about Lake Katonah Electric when I wanted to install a whole-house generator, and now I know why! Chris and Melissa made the process easy and affordable. From a prompt and fair estimate to coordinating with the gas company and inspectors, to a quick and seamless installation, they made the process a pleasure from start to finish. I’m thrilled they are an authorized Generac service provider, so I’ll continue to get the same stellar service for as long as we own the unit. I would give Lake Katonah Electric 10 stars if I could!

I'm generally not one to post reviews, good or bad, but here goes. A full service was "completed" by LKE on 10/3/24. On 5/6/25, I opened up the covers on my 22-KW Generac generator only to discover the front spark plug was never installed and it was left dangling by the spark plug wire as can be seen in the first photo. The foam type insulation was blown off the front cover about the size of a softball where the unplugged cylinder was expelling its' uncombusted propane. This can be seen in the second photo. I spoke with Melissa at LKE on 5/12 requesting to speak with Chris to find out what gives. She requested that I send her the pictures and that Chris would get back to me. I did my part and sent the pictures on 5/12 and am still waiting for a response. I am currently feeling that the only way I will receive a response is by publicly letting them know that they need to take care of this issue.

Lake Katonah Electric just installed a 24KW generator for us. They were great to work with! Collaborative in planning the project. Coordinated well with the propane company. Explained all the steps clearly. Took care of all the permits. And they have a great monitoring service to make sure everything keeps working. Now we have peace of mind. We would highly recommend Lake Katonah Electric. Chris and Melissa make the process smooth and easy.
