I love this pharmacy! They have always been professional and much faster than the other local chains. Prescriptions are filled quickly and I've never had to wait very long in the store. The counter help is always courteous and helpful, and the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and approachable with any questions. If they didnt't have an item in stock, they have ordered it and has been in the following day. They have also been very helpful with insurance questions.

My son’s medication had to be administered within 24hrs and all pharmacies were out, but medical arts had it! They called and got my son’s prescription transferred to them and filled it all within an hour. They’re amazing ! We’re so grateful

The first positive comment would be that there was a real person to talk to when I called. After spending hours on the phone trying to get replacement insulin at other pharmacies my doctor contacted Medical Arts Pharmacy. I’m on vacation and discovered that I had left some of my insulin at home. The staff was very helpful communicating with my doctor and my insurance provider to solve the issue.

I try to support small businesses, understanding how corporatizing everything ultimately hurts us all. I've been using this Pharmacy for years. Through its old ownership when things were pretty great into new ownership where I've received incorrect medication multiple times, no show/call on med delivery, being thrown off my med schedule because this Pharmacy was unable to fill a prescription timely and or communicate.

My final straw- yesterday I was attempting to fulfill a script for controlled substance. I just had surgery and have been on a narcotic pain reliever. When I ran out, I contacted my doctor to get more to get me through until my appointment next week. He sent the script, and this Pharmacy not only refused to fill it, but said nothing.

My husband went to pick it up, they gave him another medication that had also been called in for my surgical pain. When I went to take the pill when I needed it, it was not there. When I called, the person who answered the phone told me I could not get it until the 10th. I asked why, and she said the system wouldn't allow it. I said what system? And suddenly I was on hold.

When she returned, she told me the insurance would not pay because the way my original script was written it seemed I should still have the medication. I told her fine I would pay for it. She said something about maybe they won't allow, and then she said hold on.

A woman, possibly a pharmacist picked up the phone next and I explained the situation to her. She said I should still have medication from the other prescription so she was not going to fill it. The original prescription was written that I would take one pill per day. I don't know why the doctor wrote it that way, and I understand that hesitancy based on that. However, I said multiple times the same exact doctor has sent another prescription, so please fill the new prescription. I explained that I had had a surgical procedure, and you don't take any pain medication once a day. She said that the script from the doctor needs to say to take the medication more than 1x a day. And that I should call to have him change the prescription. This was Saturday morning, the surgical center is closed. Had these people had the consideration to tell me they were not filling the prescription Friday, I would have had an opportunity to reach back out to the doctor to get it adjusted to whatever way they needed it written.

I re-explained to her that I am out of medication, and I am in pain. I told her how many pills I had originally, how often I was taking the pills to demonstrate to her why I'm out of them now. While I was absolutely in pain, upset and frustrated, I was not loud, I was not insulting. And this woman said to me, "I'm not going to go back and forth with you." And she hung up on me.

She did nothing to help, to help me understand, or even to empathize. Her Focus was to shut me down. And for that reason I'm taking my business elsewhere. I can deal with mistakes, incompetence on occasion, inconvenience, etcetera but to be nasty to a person particularly a long time customer who is in pain and needs help is just unacceptable.

( I am not positive, but I I'm good with voices, and believe this is the same person who was rude and not understanding in a different situation where I asked the brand of my regular drug that they were dispensing because there is a brand that makes me nauseous due to the filler ingredients. My doctor has noted to give me a particular brand, and that note is often ignored. This woman was extraordinarily Difficult about answering what brand she was giving me despite the clerk asking her clearly. She came from the back, bringing her nastiness with her, causing me to WANT to slap the tar out of her, but I maintain grace, even for those who don't seem to deserve it.)
