Megerian Rugs and Carpet Cleaning

For years, I had been lugging around a family heirloom rug that was over 40 years old: a beautiful and very valuable Persian rug that had been through very tough times. I was too afraid to take it to just any old place, for fear of having it be mishandled. After doing a ton of research, Megerian rugs came up consistently as a great option for rug cleaning and restoration, especially for older, more precious pieces.

I got a very fast and very detailed quote, and the service I got was excellent. The folks from Megerian came within a week and picked up my rug, and a few days after that I got a personal email from the owner with a detailed breakdown of what he noticed and what his team could do for my rug. About 3 weeks later the same guys who came to pick up my rug came to drop it off, and did a fantastic job of carefully rolling it out and even moving and lifting my furniture to make sure it fit just where I wanted it. I didn't have to do a thing!

And the rug itself was restored in a way that I didn't expect possible. The Megerian team gave the rug a deep cleaning, replaced all of the tassels (they had practically fallen off over the years), repaired a hole, and restored the rug to its formal glory. I am now proudly displaying this precious family heirloom once again in my living room, and I'm confident it will outlive me!

Wow wow wow!! What a WONDERFUL experience I had with Megerian Rugs and Carpet Cleaning.
I inherited a 100 year old Persian rug from my grandmother years ago and never had it cleaned or restored.
Two months ago I decided that the time was now.
I contacted Megerian Rugs in Glen Cove and spoke to John. I then sent them pix of the rug detailing all of the damage around the corners and along the sides. They quickly sent me back a detailed and clear plan on how to clean and restore the rug. I felt the price was right and agreed to it. A few days later the rug was picked up and a few weeks later it was delivered back to me. All thru the process John and his brother were so helpful and quickly answered all of my questions.
I am still walking in and out of my living room just to admire it. The cleaning was just amazing. The colors are so vibrant now and they really pop off the rug where before they were very dull. They fixed all the shredded edges and added a new beautiful fringe to both sides. What a difference the cleaning and restoration made. It makes me so happy to think that this family heirloom will now be passed down to many future generation thanks to my grandmother and to Megerian Carpets.

WOW! Just wow! This antique and beloved carpet was destroyed by a huge flood in my apartment. After careful thought and consideration of either salvaging or replacing for a new rug, i decided upon the latter. And what a great decision it was. From start to finish, the experience was stellar. We have been using this Amazing family owned company for many years. 5 stars are not enough!! They lovingly care for my heirloom oriental rug that my grandparents received as an engagement gift in 1932. Yearly it is cleaned and then stored for the summer. Just received it back on Wednesday 🥰
