Queens Public Library at Ridgewood

Been going here since middle school. They always have programs for kids to do after school. It's a great and safe space for everyone. The librarians are friendly and very helpful. They have printers and computers. It has everything you'd probably need and its free. There's been a upgrade from before but it still has the same feeling 💗.

Ridgewood/Glendale is a pretty racist neighborhood, but this branch particularly has librarians, staff and staff members that are very racist. This is my neighborhood, so I put in complaints directly to the people who had been racist with me and my child and put in a complaint with a manager over all the queens libraries. I do not believe in letting racist run me out of public spaces that are funded by my black tax dollars, so will continue to frequent this branch but I am very weary of this branch and this neighborhood and I would say pro black and aware black people be conscious when you visit here.

I dont mean to complain about this library because its the closest to my house and i been coming here for years but if it were possible if you guys can change the way you label your blurays.I rented a godzilla bluray and the disc got stuck in my player and would not come out! you should put one small sticker label not a big sticker label that can get the disc stuck!

The older woman that works the front desk with braids, glasses, and darker complexion is not a very helpful or approachable employee. Making me repeat myself multiple times even tho speaking with clarity. Making me repeat sensitive information like my pin code out loud. Some workers are talking pretty loud. Some users in the facility also talking loudly on the phone. Why r u on the phone in a quiet area? Lol Not sure where the library standards went. Hope you guys fix it if you even give a damn.
