Had a pleasant afternoon walking Ralph Demarco Park. I had gotten off train an hr early so I had opportunity to walk area of Astoria. Skyline is attractive & boats floating on river are an attractive sight. I snapped images of Wild Geese roaming dock . I observed four Parks gone to resemble views of Manhattan

Beautiful park, great place to take photos all around Ralph Demarco Park in Astoria, Queens. Great views of the Triborough Bridge, Hell Gate Bridge with the NYC Skyline and the Con Edison smoke stacks. It belongs to the Astoria Park family in the New York City neighborhood of Astoria, Queens.

    1. Sunset Over the East River

The park’s western edge along Shore Boulevard provides a stunning vantage point for sunsets over the East River. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a canvas of warm hues, reflecting off the water and creating a picturesque scene. This spot is a favorite for photographers and romantics alike.

    2. Hell Gate Bridge and Manhattan Skyline

Positioned under the iconic Hell Gate Bridge, Astoria Park offers a unique perspective of this engineering marvel. Beyond the bridge, the Manhattan skyline stretches out, offering a panoramic view that combines urban architecture with natural beauty. It’s an ideal location for those looking to capture the essence of New York City in a single frame.

    3. Robert F. Kennedy (Triborough) Bridge Views

On the southern end of the park, the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly Triborough Bridge) spans the East River. From this vantage point, visitors can admire the bridge’s intricate design and the bustling activity below. The juxtaposition of the bridge’s structure against the flowing river creates a dynamic and engaging view.

A sweet little park on the East River. You can start in Astoria Park and continue on along the water to Ralph Demarco and back, for fresh air, sun and exercise. Many people come out with beach chairs, and it's quite often that you see families barbecuing. Humans tend to find ways to commune with Nature with whatever tools available. This park is one such nook where you can get a respite from urban living.
