Bring your patience when booking trips. The man working there is so rude, he hates his job. I appreciate the service but could do without the attitude. Bus drivers are the best.
We have been using Trips since April 2024, and it has been an invaluable service for me and my loved one. It has made getting to various doctors’ appointments and physical therapy sessions much easier.
When I first heard about Trips, I contacted the director, who was very helpful in guiding me through the application process. The application required printing and emailing it back, and we received approval promptly. While there was a bit of a learning curve initially, Trips has proven to be a reliable and helpful resource.
Here are a few tips from our experience:
• You can schedule rides up to two weeks in advance, and it’s best to provide as much notice as possible.
• The day before your trip, you will receive a call with pick-up times for both directions.
• Be aware that when you call in, you might be put on hold due to the high volume of calls. They are often assisting other riders with their pick-up and drop-off times, so please be patient—they will get back to you as soon as possible.
To stay organized, I recommend printing a template to write down your trip details and taking a picture of it with your phone for easy reference. This has been very helpful for us, especially since there is a 20-minute pick-up window on the day of your trip. The driver will wait for about 5 minutes, so try to be ready outside within that time frame. If your driver hasn’t arrived after the 20-minute window, call the Trips office for an update.
In the five months we’ve been using Trips, we have only been late for a physical therapy appointment once, which shows how dependable they are.
