So much done around this station. It was nice to see the apartments and shopping areas finished after so any years.
Very easy to navigate. If you come on a weekday inside city-commute hours, skip the smaller lots. The large one is your only chance. You CAN miss your train looking for parking. Budget accordingly.
This is a great train station where you can get train tickets and also ride a train. They have trains that go eastbound and westbound and all over the island and they even take you to New York City, which is great. The train conductors are nice and they will punch your ticket. There are seats on the train and also areas to stand. The train moves pretty fast. Is definitely a motive transportation other than driving and you don’t have to find parking and it is great for just visiting the city or running certain errands, but I don’t always ride the train but when I do, I’m excited because I really like that TV show Thomas the train and it makes me feel closer to him.
Parking is usually scant when I’m here. So I have to park far away and there’s broken glass and cast off clothes and just trash all over the parking lots. Weeds are growing up along every sidewalk. The ticket center is very nice and well maintained.
Not a bad little station. They have an onsite parking garage across the street that you can pay for and they have a walkway that connects to the upper train platform. Three tracks here. You can park for free in the opposite parking lot on railroad Ave. But it is very difficult to find a parking spot late in the day if you are heading into the city. Most of the commuters use it. Plus google maps wouldn't lead you to the right spot. You have to physically drop the red pin on parking lot 6 I think it's called. It's on railroad avenue.
