I would like to thank the owner and mechanics for checking the diagnostics without an appointment (the breakdown happened on a business trip) quickly and free of charge. They are professionals and good people who are responsive to other people's troubles, thank you very much

5 Stars across the board. Would give 10 if possible! These guys are the best and I will continue to use them for all my transmission work going forward. Truly the most honest automotive repair shop in the Long Island area. They’ve taken great care of my Trailblazer and will definitely be taking care of our 78 Z/28 Camaro if needed. Great job as always guys !!!!

Had a broken bolt in my transmission case from a job I was doing at home. Tried everything I could to get it out but was not successful. Staria’s was the only shop willing to look at it. He told me he wasn’t sure he could get it out, and we may have to replace the whole case but he would give it a try. Called me a couple days later and said he was able to get it out and had everything back together. Charged a very reasonable fee for everything. Highly recommend them for any transmission work.

My Volvo decided to take a break, vacation; whatever. Had a feeling it's the transmission, not that I know anything about cars except to do oil changes and check the tires. But faithfully Google knows a thing or two ( thank goodness for Google!!!) So I took it to Starias Transmissions on Middle Country Road. Young man in the office with nice head of white hair told me he would check it out. No Charge. Music to my ears. Who does that now a days. Well two days later, sure enough transmission is on the brink and $3,300 should solve the problem. Took my baby home and decided if he is going to leave me stranded, than I need a newer beau. Service was exactly as discussed, no charge. They are very busy so it took an extra day, but very professional, friendly and all in all price comparable. Explained the problem thoroughly and did not pressure to fix it. Some auto shops don't even want to look at Volvo's.

I called at less 10 Transmission shops and not one of them would help me with my car. I have a 1967 Pontiac Catalina and I wanted to put the shifter on the floor instead of on the column. Everyone else wanted to charge me though the roof or they didn't want to do it. I brought my car in at 8;30 this morning and they called me by noon to say the car is ready. The price was the best part. I would use them again in the future. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!
