I had the profound honor of visiting Stepping Stones, the historic home of Bill and Lois Wilson, co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon, and the very place where the Big Book, Alcoholics Anonymous, was written.
Walking through this home was deeply moving and, at times, overwhelming—especially upstairs. I found myself brought to tears reflecting on where my life might be today without the program of AA and its fellowship, a reality I can scarcely imagine.
I barely recognize the person I once was, and that is truly a blessing. My journey from being a “ten-time loser” to a serviceable member of society has been nothing short of miraculous. This is undeniably a WE program—something that could never have been accomplished alone.
I am eternally grateful to the men and women who came before me and to those who continue to help guide others along this path. Visiting Stepping Stones is a powerful, humbling, and inspiring experience that I will never forget.
This was an amazing experience to be at the house of Bill W house
Stepping Stone is such a beautiful piece of history. Staff are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
I was in town for a short time and was able to fit in a tour. We were so impressed with the grounds. Yanina greeted us and James gave the tour. He was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Such an amazing experience. Thank you James and Yanina!
The grounds were beautiful! Preservation of everything was on point. I loved listening to the tour guide. They were very friendly! And the store is cute
