Twins Barber Shop

I have known twin barbershop for over 20 years! Hugo is the owner and only barber. I just went there today, I found Hugo in good spirit, cordial, attending, and professional as always!

I've been going here for years. Hugo is like an old friend. Despite my limited Spanish and his limited English, we managed to get really nice haircuts done. I once got a compliment from a salon owner in Manhattan's upper west side. It was always a pleasure getting a haircut from him-- like it was this clockwork meditative process that was so calming.

Where did Hugo go? I have been driving by for weeks and the shutters have been down. I hope he's ok.

If you are looking for a classic cut, an older style this is the place. This man knows his stuff. What I mean by classic and older style is a slick back, a pompadour, a comb over. He specializes in siccor work. Anything with a medium to long length will come out amazing. But I would say to go somewhere else if you are looking for a modern skin fade type of cut. Ive been going to this man for 15 years. Tried other barbers but always come back to him.

Just one barber who's meticulous. Might have a wait sometimes but such a calming experience, unlike many other barber shops that are loud and anything but relaxing. He seems to know all his customers and presents a very friendly vibe. Plays Latin music at a low volume. And inexpensive. Always a nice experience.

There are few places in the city where you can get a great haircut for just $10 dollars. I’ve been going to this barber for years now, and have always been satisfied. While his ability to speak English is limited, he’s understands the basics. I’ve brought friends there and they too have been happy with the end result.
