I needed some mini-splits installed, so I called Dustin to see if I could get an estimate. He told me he could come by that Wednesday between 5PM and 6PM. Wednesday came and I called him around 4:50 to make sure he was coming because I was holding off on dinner. No answer so I left a voicemail.

He never came and never bothered to call. Thankfully, I got an actual professional come give me an estimate. They sent me an email confirmation and showed up when they said they would. I hired them for the job, and will be getting my mini-splits in two weeks. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

Excellent service. The reviews are spot on. 5 starts all the way. Knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Dustin was able to diagnose an issue we were having with our air unit. He communicated with me and arrived on time. Will absolutely be having him back in the future for any work.

I highly recommend Ulster County Mechanical (UCM). The quality of their work is great, their pricing competitive, and Dustin is a good communicator and easy to work with. I first learned about UCM when they were a sub-contractor for my bathroom renovation project. The project involved relocating all of the bathroom fixtures and rerouting some plumbing and HVAC lines for a bathroom above it. The project required attention to detail and precision, as it was a tight space. Dustin from UCM delivered. More recently I contracted with UCM to install 3 Mitsubishi mini-splits, after soliciting bids from them and 2 of their main competitors. Dustin’s work was again great. I asked him to run the lines for the mini-splits within the walls, because I didn’t want them running on the exterior of the house. He thoughtfully and carefully cut out the drywall so it was easy to restore. He also readily accommodated my request to ensure the installation was not only efficient, effective, but also aesthetically pleasing on the outside of the house. A few unrelated issues came up as we were scheduling the work (e.g., need for code-compliant water line for refrigerator; need to fix water and waste lines for washing machine; need to change out UV light and filter for house water) and he readily incorporated them into his schedule. Before I retired, I managed construction contractors for decades. UCM is in the ranks of the best!

I have used Ulster County Mechanical many times now and it's always a great experience! Dustin is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has helped me solve many issues on different systems. I highly recommend Ulster County Mechanical to resolve any issues with HVAC systems and upgrading older systems to newer ones.

Dustin and his team were incredibly professional and knowledgeable from the start. They gave me many options and made me feel very confident in my choice of mini splits for heating/AC. They were able to obtain all the equipment and install within a great time frame. Work was done quickly, efficiently and professionally. Very reasonable price and also very prompt with any questions or concerns throughout the process and after. Excellent customer service. Would 100% recommend to others!
