Uncle Jo’s movers company was a great company to do business with. From the 1st phone call for an estimate, until the last piece of furniture was dropped off.. immaculate service! The price was right, and the communication was efficient. I would certainly recommend this company.
I will always ONLY call Uncle Jo to help me with any and every moving job I have. Uncle Jo is professional, reliable, reasonal and he really and truly cares about his clients, not just their belongs, but he cares about us and treats us like family.
I really wish more companies would take a page out of Uncle Jo's book!

Jo and team made our move stress free. Great communication. Very professional. And most importantly - were able to disassemble and reassemble an Ikea Dresser and Wardrobe with zero complication. They really took the time to make sure the move was done with perfection. Will work with them again in the future 100%.
This was the best Moving experience of my life! We called Uncle Jo’s (And that’s Jo’s - No e). We compared them with several others in the New York City area, several of which had more Google reviews. Here’s why we chose Uncle Jo’s:
1. Uncle Jo’s is federally licensed with the Department of Transportation. This can be verified on the DOT website.
2. The Better Business Bureau gave uncle Jo’s a A+ rating, even though uncle Joes is not paying Better Business Bureau for an account. One of the leading competitors with a lot more positive Google reviews in NYC moving area also shows up on Better Business Bureau with an F rating. I’d recommend checking BBB
3. Uncle Jo’s was always responsive. Even if I left a late night message or text, I got a response either that night or early the next morning.
4. They set up an appointment to See the space that we were moving and our furniture in order to give us an estimate. They were running a bit late for the estimate meeting, but they called in advance and let us know. Great communication all around. Superb customer service and great communication every step of the way (and this was all during the mega heat wave we just had in the city). Also the estimate they provided us with aT our meeting Was exactly what we paid at close of move in.
5. Deposit to guarantee our moving date was minimal.
Uncle Joes goes above and beyond - they communicate every step of the way, they meet their commitments, they are professional, Courteous and they know what they’re doing.
I couldn’t recommend more highly! They even added 2 suitcases to the load that wasn’t included in the estimate - so we wouldn’t have to take them on the subway.

Uncle Jo’s team was excellent! I was less prepared than I wanted to be when they arrived but they were happy to help. I could tell they were experts because my storage unit was smaller than it looked in the pictures and it would’ve taken a rocket scientist to place everything properly to make it fit. They perfect fit all my belongings in the storage with just enough room to close the door. I’m super grateful!! They are highly recommended.
