Amazing local spot! This place never disappoints. They’ve got DJs every weekend, some of the friendliest and best-looking staff, and six pool tables with around eight dart boards. It’s always a great crowd. If you’re looking for somewhere to go out with friends, this bar is a guaranteed good time.
had an amazing experience at this unique lounge and billiards bar! The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed, with stylish décor, great lighting, and music that sets the mood without being overwhelming. The tables were in excellent condition, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Whether you’re here to play, unwind, or enjoy a night out with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. Truly a five-star gem—I can’t wait to come back!
A Staten Island Classic
What can I say about a place that’s been in my neighborhood for most of my life, other than that it’s a true community staple? Unique Billiards is one of those rare spots that manages to combine a laid-back bar atmosphere with a professional-level pool and darts experience. Whether you’re a casual player or a league regular, you’ll feel right at home here.
Leagues for both billiards and darts run year-round, and the players are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to meet new faces. The music’s usually great—some nights it’s downright perfect—but what really stands out is the consistency. Their hours are dependable, the drinks are always flowing, and the service is top-notch.
The bartenders and staff treat everyone like family—many of them have been working there for over a decade, and it shows. The owners, a father, son, and uncle team, have clearly poured their hearts into keeping the place running smoothly. I heard they replaced all the pool tables about six months ago, and it’s made the place look even better.
There might be plenty of billiard halls across Staten Island, but none that do everything quite like Unique Billiards. It lives up to its name—it’s truly unique. This place embodies what makes Staten Island special: a sense of community, familiarity, and genuine care that you just don’t find everywhere else.
Went with a bunch of my friends great bartenders Jenna and Veronica on a Friday is the best highly recommended!!! Bathrooms nice and clean pool tables brand new lounge honestly sick .
TL;DR: decent room, tables play well, five 9-ft Brunswick (I think) tables, expect to get interrupted on a league or Friday night: it gets busy around 7 or 8 on both. No advertised tournaments that I saw or read online about (I was offered to leave my number there and the owner could let me know when they have one.) Also, maybe a weekend night thing: pricing is somehow around 15$ an hour rather than the website-advertised 5$ (I only saw one rate on the site that was not time/day-restrictive).
The first time I went was on a "league night", and I was given the pool table closest to the bar, just beyond which the league information is displayed in a corner. Given people were coming to play matches and I was just practicing, I set myself up to shoot on the side of the table facing away from the other tables. There's enough space between them otherwise, but you definitely have to wait for your neighbors to shoot their shots at times, as is common in pool halls. As people came in for their matches, they were constantly walking into that back corner though, so I was interrupted probably every 7 minutes or so, usually with a quick "pardon".
A guy came is asking about joining their in-house league. The league operator or owner had this gent shoot a rack on the table next to me with another player. The purpose was so he could give this guy a ranking for their league, so they don't use Fargo or any other ranking system that I'm aware of.
I paid like 20-25$ after tipping for 3 hours or so. Super cheap.
The second time I went was on Friday, arriving around 6, before any crowd to speak of. It filled up by 8, everyone around having a blast. Lots of interruptions with players at other tables, to be expected and not an issue. I shot for 3-3.5 hours and had 3 Cokes (no food service here or I would've ordered dinner). I was given a 52$ tab, which, after the first time I was here, and given their advertised rates, caught me by surprise. I put my card on the bar but also asked if there was a problem with my tab. I was told it was 7$ an hour, so I pointed out that my bill should've been half of what it was if that was the case. The bartender simply spun to the computer and printed my itemized receipt, which showed some kind of "$#.## x 2" line on it, explaining that every individual has to be charged as if there were two people on the table... or something like that? Not an issue, but price transparency is always nice.
