My boyfriend and I have been ordering delivery from here for months! Even delivery is the best sushi we’ve had in New York - this means a lot for us foodies. My dad and I finally had the chance to go for lunch in person and we were blown away with the service from Dana, and the owner John. Their hospitality matched just how delicious all of their food is. All three of us highly recommend any of their truffle oils to dip any sushi in! We look forward to returning in person as we continue to order take out at least once a week/ month!
Was missing a good ramen place here in Thornwood area and now we have it in the form of Zeppin almost didn't notice it in a corner tucked away hidden.
But once you find this place it's a delight - food, ambience and hospitality was on point.
We tried the Zeppin spicy ramen and we were very happy with the offering. The home made noodles which has a unique texture and chew to it, along with its tasty broth which was a perfect combo for this cool winters.
It wasn't really spicy though that's very subjective and won't hold them to it.
Bao Bun was flavorful but lacked adequate sauce and felt a little dry at the end of finishing it.
Overall a great place to try out... We Are definitely visiting again for another round of hot ramen to pair with the cold winter season 😋😋
While the interior is nicely decorated, something felt strangely cold about the vibes. We could clearly hear the conversation of another group of guests several tables away. For the food, we tried Zeppin Wings - great flavor but they put some generic buffalo sauce on the side as an afterthought. Gyoza were disappointing. The appeared house made but the texture of the dumpling wrapper was mushy and not appetizing. We really came for the sushi because of the high reviews. Unless you opted for omakase, everything was à la carte (and expensive). While the quality seemed very good, nothing was outstanding for the price. Three temaki pieces were $30 and left me still hungry. Service felt rushed despite it not being busy at all. Thought to return for the ramen but probably won’t based off this experience.
The atmosphere was classy. We went there as a walk-in. Restroom was clean & smell good. The waiter & manager was very friendly. I wished they had more of ramen noodles topping options, added to the broth. I also like the iPad menu so you can see how the food looks like, before you order.
Zeppin is hands down the best ramen in Westchester. The in house noodle making station sets them apart from every other spot, you can taste the freshness in every bite. The sashimi was top quality (the toro just melts in your mouth), and the cocktails like the Zeppin Mule and Coconut Lychee Twist were delicious. Amazing food, great service, and a must-visit in Thornwood!
