I love a good walk, and the Canal trails on the Delaware provide one. It's scenic (right on the Delaware River), and you get to see a variety of wildlife (all kinds of birds, turtles, snakes, and even the occasional jumping fish). I even had a pleasant one on one encounter with a very friendly deer who walked right up to me on the trail. So, if you want to get some steps in and enjoy some of what the earth has to offer, then it's a great place to exercise.

One of my favorite spots in the area. Taught myself how to fly a drone here, which I lost in the Delaware River in Philly due to the magnetic field of the SS US.

I usually park down the street on the left in the gravel parking spots. I almost always fish at this location as it produces some decent sized fish when the time is right. Definitely watch out for bikers if you plan on walking or fishing. Lots of wild life including turtles, geese, ducks, deer and birds.

Parking spot for 3-4 cars, a real public bathroom, and easy access to the trail. But no shade at parking lot, the Sun can be brutal 😆

The towhead here works as an entry point to the canal path, also the bridge to bridge health walk. It’s a nice place for birdwatching, and reminiscing on the waters of the Delaware.
