Back 9 Tavern is such a great spot!!! Classic country club comfort done right. I absolutely loved the French onion soup: rich, flavorful, and perfectly comforting. Stole a bite from husband’s plate and boy was the Panko Chicken Marsala was also a standout crispy, tender, and full of flavor.
What really made the experience exceptional, though, was our server Bailey. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome without ever being overbearing. She checked in at just the right times, knew the menu well, and brought such a positive energy to the table. Service like hers truly elevates the entire dining experience.
We’ll definitely be back again for the great food, amazing atmosphere, and outstanding service thanks to Bailey!
Back Nine never disappoints. The citrus salmon dinner is amazing. As well as the meatloaf dinner. Our waitress was very attentive. We sat inside this time in the dining room. It was nice and quiet.
Indoor and outdoor dining on the beautiful setting of a golf course. Open to the public. Everything is priced a dollar or two more than expected but that is to be expected ; ) If it tastes great then it's worth it. Ours tasted great! With a comfortable yet classy atmosphere. There were several TVs in the large bar area to catch your favorite game. We ordered a small cheese pizza ($15) and a French Dip with fries ($15). Surprisingly Perfect crisp crust and delicious au jus. During games, there is beer specials. Several varieties on tap and pitcher specials during games. The staff is very attentive even when it started to get busy. Ample parking and easy location.
Came in this afternoon for a quick lunch, place was not busy. Service was poor, table dirty, didn’t check on us after giving the food which the hot dog was cold, quesadilla had tomato when asked for without. All the waitresses sit at a table and chats, we even had to wait for our check. There’s so many other great places in southington than this.
Back Nine Tavern is located at the Southington Country Club next to a scenic golf course. There is a main bar room and a good sized meeting room with its own small bar. A nice array of food was brought out from the kitchen for a gathering of around sixty held here mid-April.
Dishes included bruschetta, chicken wings, stuffed mushrooms, mini-meatballs, jalapeno poppers and coconut shrimp. The bruschetta was better than most since the grilled baguette slices were seasoned. The stuffed mushrooms were large with a flavorful sausage stuffing and the fried jalapeno poppers had the right balance of heat with melted cheese in each bite. A nice sized shrimp was used for the coconut shrimp and they weren't too sweet. The chicken wings were on the small side and dry. Drinks from the bar had a good pour.
There was a lot of food left at the end of the evening, so guests were welcome to bring some home. If in the area, this is a place worth considering for an event. Management is very customer oriented and friendly.
