Nice simple library to visit. I felt it has the collection I was looking for in terms of book reading and computer programs. Very helpful staff too. Best.
Great place, I’m taking some classes there and I always love to go at the library to study.
Excellent college, I've been attending for 4 semesters and I can't say enough about the wonderful people that make this school run. The professors are top notch, work or have worked in the fields they're teaching so they are very knowledgeable and also very accessible if you need help or have any questions. The dental program is very well regarded. Their Fine Arts Dept is phenomenal, including Photography, Graphic Design, Fine Arts professors are fantastic! The are gallery is gorgeous and you can see shows ranging feom local artists to student art shows!
Free tutoring for Math and English, a beautiful library, computer lab, the resources here are abundant. They make sure you have access to everything you need to succeed ! They alao have an amazing Academic support center for anyone who needs accommodations of any kind ! They even have a child care program. A Welcoming and Wonderful College to all and easy on the pocket tuition wise compared to a 4 year school. They have programs in conjunction with all of the CT Universities and offer guarantees acceptance to UCONN, CCSU, etc. The list of Colleges and Universities that students have transferred too are top notch. Great opportunities at Tunxis!

Tunxis does the job in terms of fulfilling requirements or prerequisites. The buildings and labs are nice. The faculty has always been helpful and willing to set time aside outside of class for further assistance or questions, however office staff is severely lacking. If you can manage to get a phone call through, the employee on the other end is rarely able to answer any questions. Also, the registrar, cashiers office, and many other essential departments of the school have strict business hours, which makes it very difficult for people who work regular full time jobs during the day to communicate, make payments, or get answers to questions. That being said, if you're in a situation like I am, having an affordable school that offers the classes you need to fulfill prerequisites nearby is nice.
My brother works here in the computer department. I am visiting from Maryland. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria and someone else took his breakfast by mistake so they had to make him more toast. It looks like a pretty nice campus, not too crowded. They've added a lot of buildings since I was here last.
