This is the Best p[lace to live. There are so many activities that I sometimes have 5 items a day which of course I do not have time to do them all Aquatics in the pool, balance class mind body exercise class many lectures by residents and people from the outside. Many art classes. I sign up for every event and place we go to on the bus with Sharon!! Wonderful museums, restaurants art galleries even an alpaca farm!! I have been here four years and never run out of things to do. Our church is right here in Nelson Hall which is great. Nelson Hall is wonderful with all the activities and the outside concerts which I attend all. We do not have to leave campus with everything available right here. Sharon is super with all her bus trips and Pam is great with the selection of concerts. Marti is great as our movie presenter and Zack is such a help with all the visual art things. Having the Market is so handy that we can buy most things we need. Transportation to doctors and the shopping busses are a real plus. We do not need a car. Kim is tops in the baking department.!! The bakery items are superior. Having two restaurants is great for variety. The food is good and the staff are so efficient and friendly. It is a blessing to have rehab right here attached to the Independent part of Elim. With Lisa and Fran here in the beauty salon we are so fortunate. We never have to go out for hair appointments. It is wonderful to have the nursing staff and all the medical facilities such as removal of wax in ears hearing aid tests blood tests podiatrist right here in house. I must give a great Wow to Matt and his staff for the landscaping which is magnificant!! Our maintenance and housekeeping people are all so efficient, qualified and friendly. It is so nice to just walk down for a cappachino in the bakery and chat with so many different wonderful residents and staff. It also takes quite a while to get my mail as I chat with more people along the way. As yo see I love living here very much. Irene Schaefer
I have been a resident at Elin Park for two month
Last week I felt getting out of Bed I have Parkinson’s and I was not able to get into my wheelchair. I wait on the floor in an uncomfortable position for more than an hour pushing my pendant for help after an hour and 10 minutes. I started yelling for help someone on the hallway Heard me and heard me and help me up
I was told that Bonnie, the head of nursing for assistant
Would call me to explain why I was on the fourth for an hour and 10 minutes she never called
Elim Park is an extraordinary place for independent living. The staff care deeply for residents, going above and beyond to help them when they need it. Senior Management are also very approachable, and their future plans for the campus are impressive. I'm especially thrilled by the Palm Program for people with memory loss. It has been a godsend for my mother. Laura and her team are wonderful!
We are very happy with the responsive, kind and caring environment at Elim Park. We appreciate the many activities, holiday parties and ability to celebrate personal occasions in The Conservatory and The Clubhouse. Kamari and his staff do a wonderful job making these events special. It meant so much to us to host a surprise family reunion and 65th wedding anniversary this past year. Thank you Everyone!
My wife and I did an extensive search in NY, NJ and CT ( we are NYC residents) over a two year period to find an independent living community for my sister. After selecting our three favorite residences, we brought my sister to each. Without indicating the community that we favored, she made her choice rather quickly, and we were very happy that she chose our #1 pick -- Elim Park.
The first time we stepped into Elim Park we felt at home. The staff and the residents are so friendly and welcoming. What do we love most? The expansive list of activities, the outstanding shows, the beautiful indoor pool, the bakery with fresh homemade breads and pastry made daily, the fact that the buildings are all interconnected on the main level and you can get in a good healthy walk every day, regardless of weather, the outstanding staff that is always so eager to please, the fact that my sister is safe and surrounded by wonderful people.
Elim Park is a not for profit community that has been around for 100+ years. My wife and I are still years away from becoming residents (minimum age is 62), but we have joined the wait list. We can't think of a better place to age.
