Great experience! Will is great & knowledgeable, answers any questions & explains so you understand what’s going on. I’ve gotten an oil change here already & recently came back in for a nail in my tire, they were quick & efficient. Definitely will be making General auto my goto for anything
Driving from Maryland to Maine I broke down in Watertown on Thanksgiving weekend. I found General Auto Repair and was able to limp my car there... They were able to get me in within 20 minutes and diagnose/order the parts and have me back on the road that evening. I really appreciated the printout of the schematics of the car to better see what was broken and the thorough explanation. Will, at the front desk and Jimmy the mechanic went above and beyond and stayed after hours to get me back home that night. Very grateful and would definitely recommend this shop.
The waiting area is also lovely: plush, comfortable seats and sofas with a coffee bar and snacks.
I had an emergency stop at General Auto Repair (piece of the under carriage was hanging down dragging on the road). Will and the crew there took a look at my car, lifted it up and fixed immediately, free of charge. I even asked if I could pay and they refused. I am blown away with the professionalism and honesty. They could have easily charged me and did not. I highly recommend their business and service.
I stopped in without an appointment and was taken care of in a timely fashion. The staff was friendly, polite and very nice. I would absolutely return and I would recommend it to anyone. And the plus was it was like sitting in a top line dealership, they offered coffee and refreshments along with snacks. It was a pleasure dealing with them.
I can’t thank this shop enough! When my transmission went out, they stepped in and helped me tremendously. Not only did they handle the transmission, but they also took care of other issues as they found them! They kept me updated the entire time. They truly went above and beyond, and now my car feels brand new! The professionalism, honesty, and quality of their work have completely earned my trust.
