Known as Dr Crown. Tends to recommend crowns on a regular basis. The five crowns he did for me were marginal. One crown had an obvious hole in the veneer and he didn’t tell me about it until after it was installed. On one occasion when he administered Novacaine I said I didn’t think I was numb enough. He proceeded anyway, and I jumped out of the chair from pain. He genuinely seemed annoyed that I dare jump from the pain.

I went to Dr. Wade for several years and was very happy with the dental hygienist. I have some cavities that were filled when I was a teenager 30+ years ago and have had very few issues with them. Dr. Wade said that one of my fillings was in bad shape and that I needed to get a crown. He had already done a crown on another tooth and I wasn't too excited to go through that again. I didn't feel any discomfort and decided to put it off. The next visit was a cleaning 6 months later and he brought it up again, and again I did not get the crown done. Then at my next appointment, he brought it up again and this time he seemed visibly annoyed at me and I didn't like the tone at all. I went home and made an appointment with another dentist to get a second opinion. The other dentist said that the tooth was fine and she did a small filling to fix the problem. That was probably about 4 or 5 years ago and it turns out that I really didn't need that crown after all, and my new dentist is great. I will always get a second opinion when a dentist tells me I need expensive dental work.
