The Food is Amazing!! I had the legume with white rice and sos & my girlfriend had the griot with rice/beans. Worth every penny!! 🙏🏾
The food is pretty good one problem is they only have medium and large and there are never any sides they want you to pay near 20 dollars for just rice and a small amount of meat they advertise salad and other items but they are never ready meal should include veggies if someone is going to pay 17 or more two spoons of rice and two pieces of meat especially if it's the ends of the meat with no actual meat on it is a rip off
They were so helpful in catering Haitian food for a school event, and International Food Festival. Everyone loved the food and could not stop talking about it. Got way more food than expected for the price, and I'm so glad they were able to help me represent my country! 🇭🇹💙❤️
Wonderful Haitian food! I got the legume, rice, and sos pwa nwa and all was flavorful and filling. Large portions. Kind service.
Today my husband and I drove from North Central Connecticut to Waterbury on an errand. It was lunchtime and we were in the mood to experiment so we chose Lourdes Creole Restaurant because we had never tasted Haitian food and wanted to experience something different. Wow, am I ever glad we made that choice! We were both blown away by the quality of the food and the hospitality we received as guests. I had the Pork Griot with Black Rice. The pork was was tasty, tender, and succulent and the flavor of moist black rice infused with mushroom was fantastic. My husband tried the chicken and red beans and rice with his meal and he was thrilled with his choices as well. This chef certainly knows his stuff as everything was fresh and flavorful, with a variety of choices on the menu and two sizes of meals. It was the closest to home cooking (with flair) that I had experienced at a restaurant in some time. Sort of like "soul food with a kick." By the way, the chef and the very nice lady who work there are both Haitian and both made us feel right at home, making these two rookies feel welcome as we tried out Haitian dishes for the first time and asked many questions that they were happy to answer. We highly recommend this restaurant.
