As a frequent customer, I have always had positive experiences at Mark's of Design! Kate, Jennifer and all of the staff are top notch! The staff are all friendly and attentive! The jewelry is beautiful and high quality!!
I had an exceptional experience at Marks of Design! From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel welcomed and genuinely cared about helping me find the perfect piece. Their selection is gorgeous and diverse, with something for every style and occasion. What really stood out was the personalized service — the staff took time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered thoughtful suggestions without ever being pushy. The quality of the jewelry exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Whether you’re looking for a special gift or custom design work, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
I recently had my ring resized. Jennifer was so professional and helpful. She even helped me pick out a gift for my wife. I am now able to wear it without worrying it will fall off. I highly recommend Marks of Design for all your jewelry needs
I bought my fiancée’s engagement ring and a matching wedding band in October 2024 from Marks of Design. The rings themselves are beautiful and my wife loves them, but my overall experience was frustrating enough that I feel other buyers should be cautious.
We found a ring she loved while “just browsing”, and the store sized her finger at 5.75. I returned a few weeks later to place the order. At checkout, I noticed the price was higher than we had discussed. The staff member, Gabriela, said she assumed I would prefer to get the ring sooner and added a $1200 charge related to expediting the casting process from 6 weeks to 4. I objected, and the charge was removed.
When the engagement ring arrived, it had multiple blemishes on the bottom (see photos). I brought it back, and the owner, Kate, polished it. She then remarked, “Oops, that’s what happens when you don’t wear your glasses,” which felt dismissive of the quality issue.
The day before our wedding, I asked my fiancée to try on her wedding band, and it did not fit. At the store, staff measured both rings and confirmed the engagement ring was correctly sized at 5.75, but the wedding band was a 6.25, a half size larger than we ordered and listed on the invoice. We were initially told that resizing or using a ring guard would both be paid services, even though this was the store’s mistake. Once Kate became involved, she apologized for the staff’s tone, acknowledged the sizing error, and offered a complimentary resize. However, she also commented that we were “waiting until the day before” to try on the ring, which felt inappropriate and shifted blame from the store. Because resizing the night before the wedding felt risky, we used a temporary ring guard.
Two months after the wedding, I returned to have the wedding band resized to the correct 5.75 to match both the order and the engagement ring. This time, staff measured the wedding band as a size 6 and the engagement ring as 5.5, directly contradicting previous measurements. After seeing multiple inconsistent measurements, I lost confidence in the store’s ability to properly measure ring size or service the rings. We are now having the wedding band resized elsewhere, at our own expense, simply to ensure it is done correctly.
Beautiful rings, but repeated mistakes and dismissive staff mean you need to double check everything or pay the price yourself.
