Dr maw is a wonderful doctor, she is very compassionate and understanding , she will tell you like it is she doesn’t sugar coat anything. I highly recommend her
I have been a patient of Dr. Maw's for years. I think she is amazing. She is thorough, doesn't rush you out of the office and is always on time with her appointments. She is very direct, honest and upfront. Some people don't like doctor's who are so direct and honest but when it comes to your health, I personally appreciate that. I'd much rather brutally honest, then someone sugar coating my health. Also, she doesn't throw prescription medication to fix everything, like other doctors. She always offers alternatives first, again, which I love the most. Doctors are too will to other prescription medication to fix everything and not everything needs it. I personally like to avoid taking ANY medication, including over the counter. I have always and will continue to recommend Dr. Maw. She is fantastic.
I have been a patient of Dr. Maw for 2-3 three years now and I would recommend her as a PCP. She is always very thorough and if I need to see her the day I call for a health concern, she is available.
She always listens to my concerns and explains what steps we will do to find a solution before she has to recommend a specialist. She never has made me feel ashamed when I answer her questions.
She is not the most bubbly doctor I have had, she is matter of fact and she doesn't dance around any issues. Decide for yourself. I think she's a great doctor.
I have been seeing Dr. Maw for about 2-3 years now and I have to say she is an amazing PCP; she has been very thorough, always hearing me out with my concerns and putting me along the correct avenue to help.
It is very apparent in the way she speaks she is well education.
She might not be everyone's cup of tea, she can be very particular about things but in no way do I believe she means it to offend or put people off.
If you are looking for a medical provider that will truly assess you and you are willing to put in the work to get yourself better she will be there to keep you well AND hold you responsible - that may be the part that people don't like the most, but I think it is the quality that makes her the best.
I have been Dr. Maw's patient for over 10 years. She used to smile much more then than she does now, but she is still a caring doctor. She is more to the point now, but I wouldn't say she is rude. She never tries to act like she knows everything and asks plenty of questions. I feel lucky to have her as my doctor.
Some have mentioned negative interactions due to being a no show. I have been late to a couple appointments and once had to reschedule because I was very late and it would have affected the appointments after mine. That seems understandable to me though.
