We had an absolutely terrific experience working with Morgan Carpet through Costco, and I can't recommend them enough. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations — the pricing was fantastic, and we even received a 10% cashback Costco card, which was a great bonus. But more importantly, the service, professionalism, and quality of the final product were beyond exceptional.

We worked directly with Erik Smelter, and his professionalism and attention to detail were truly commendable. He came to our newly purchased townhouse to provide an estimate and arrived fully prepared with a wide selection of carpet and tile samples. As we explored different options, he made multiple trips to his car without hesitation to bring in the samples we were considering. Erik provided honest, professional guidance without ever pressuring us or steering us toward anything beyond our budget. He was incredibly respectful of our needs and listened carefully to what we were looking for.

After narrowing our options down to two carpet choices and two tile selections, Erik promised to send us samples and prepare quotes for the different layout plans we discussed. He was swift, communicative, and professional throughout. Within a week, we had both the samples and the quotes in hand. Once we made our decision, he immediately scheduled the installation, making every effort to accommodate our tight timeline.

As first-time homeowners and new parents, this was our first experience installing carpet. Naturally, we were very concerned about safety — especially with a baby soon crawling — and wanted to ensure that the installation would be clean, with no exposed nails or unfinished edges. I called Erik several times to emphasize these concerns, and each time he responded with empathy and reassurance. He promised to personally oversee the project to ensure everything was done to the highest standard — and he delivered.

We weren’t able to be there for the installation, but when we arrived at the house afterward, we were absolutely thrilled. The job was flawless. The carpet was perfectly installed, the stairs were meticulously finished, and every edge was clean, sealed, and safe. They even went the extra mile and used leftover carpet — which we had paid for — to finish our crawlspace closet, a thoughtful and unexpected detail that really impressed us.

They also left behind any unused carpet for future use, which we appreciated. Throughout the entire process, Erik remained responsive, helpful, and professional, whether over phone or email. He even shared tips on how to care for the new carpet.

In summary, Erik Smelter is the epitome of excellent customer service and professionalism. We’re incredibly glad we chose Morgan Carpet and had the pleasure of working with Erik and his team. We’ll absolutely work with them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone in need of flooring services.
