Super fun and beatiful
Started taking our pups here daily a month ago; suggested by a dog dad at the dog park. The long walk is amazing and the river (ducks!) is so beautiful. Everyone so far with dogs has been friendly and those that go off-lead do it in the back and leash up when folks approach. We have been accosted twice by a woman (no dog) following us, ducking behind bushes and trees, then coming up and snarling something about dogs. When I advised our dog not to listen, the woman snapped at me, yelling. Other walkers know about her and have warned us not to engage. We do end up picking up after other dogs, as well as some trash including today a beer can and whiskey bottle but still not near as much as the other parks we've walked so far. This is our best spot in Woodbury so far! It would help if doggie bags were placed in a few spots to encourage pick up!
Nice place to bring our sweet furry friends for a walk and a refreshing swim in the river. The only setback is when they spray the cow maneuver, the smell is unbearable other than that it’s a quiet place.
The dogs enjoyed the vast meadow to walk and explore all the beauty and sunshine. The river was at a peaceful flow, with the wildflowers all around. I especially like to imagine Jerry Stomski here with his teen work program creating this space for all to enjoy. His memory lives on with the his memorial tree in full bloom , full of tranquil fragrance.
