Elevated boardwalk (~ 1 mile) makes the Great Swamp accessible. During early spring (April), we saw 4 vultures feasting on something, a couple varieties of birds, tadpoles, but not much else (no turtles or frogs). Landscape is boggy & flat, forests of thin trees (soil too wet), and likely later in warmer months you'll need serious mosquito spray to be comfortable. There are purportedly hikes, but the volunteers staffing the tables didn't know about them. The trails are actually marked on the maps they ha d out.

There are many Great Swamp in the area. This one is the best amongst all. It has proper parking and boardwalk in swamp. You can come with family and kids. The hike is almost on boardwalks and safe. There are various trails.

Place is very well known for Bird watchers and photographers. Many different kinds of birds are spotted. Recently, I have spotted Grey Heron, Bald Eagles, Hawk and Pileated Woodpecker. Also, have seen Rabit and Fox.

They have guidelines mentioned at this place. People wear masks and expect the same from others.

I like to come here for quick walk or hike. There's many trails so it's good to have a map if you're not familiar with this park. It's pretty wet in winter and spring but some trails have decks to walk on. Some of trails are perfect for snowshoeing or mountain biking.
