After eating at A&G every day for the past month (thanks to a kitchen packed away in preparation for a move to Europe), I can say unequivocally that this local spot has become my go-to for daily meals. The food is excellent, the portions generous, and the pricing absolutely incredible for the value you get. Dive into a variety of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and more — the menu is broad and satisfies just about any craving.
A&G offers a huge menu with everything from classic pizzas (including buffalo chicken, margarita, lamb gyro, and more creative options) to hearty pastas, fresh salads, strombolis, calzones, subs, wraps, burgers, entrees, and seafood — all at very reasonable prices.
My personal favorites in rotation are Teriyaki Salmon, Lamb Gyro, Sante Fe Salad, Cheesesteak Wrap and a plain slice with black olives and mushrooms.
Every dish I’ve had has been flavorful and satisfying.
Portions here are not skimpy — they’re generous enough to easily feed two adults in some cases. When you combine that with the pricing, especially for lunch or quick dinner takeout, it’s hard to beat. Few places around Andover/Newton offer this level of volume and quality at these price points.
The vibe is relaxed and casual — perfect for a quick lunch, dinner with friends, or a game-day meal. I always eat at the bar but there are high tops and, of course regular tables. There are at least 6 televisions in the bar area for sporting or other events.
I should mention that the owner is actively transforming the space to open what are now two rooms into one room. And, to top it off he has an upstairs room with large screen televisions and a bar for sports!
You will not be disappointed!
I used to love there food, the food has been inconsistent. Spent $71 on 3 pasta dishes, pasta dishes should not cost this much. The meat sauce was like soup and was light pink and could not figure out how it takes, othe time is was perfect. The cavatelli and broccoli had no flavor it tasted like unsalted pasta and steamed broccoli. One time we ordered 3 meals all tasted like a salt block. Instead of calling all the time and complaining I will just find a new restaurant and cook myself
This place was great! I went with my family and the menu had a ton of yummy options and really well priced. I got the NY Strip hot sandwich and daaaaannnngggg it was so good! Also had the appetizer of fried calamari! Our server was also fantastic! Cant wait to try more options!
There are a Few Pizzerias that go by the name AG. I Believe that this one is associated with the one in Lafayette and not the one in Newton. I only bring this up because this location knocked it out of the park. I had the grandma slice and it was excellent on all levels. Crust 5, Cheese 4.25 and Sauce a 5.0. The service was great and the place itself was new, neat and clean. Great job. Congratulations on the new location and a great slice of Pizza for Sussex County. Excited to post these scores on the Pizza Hunters App. We will be back soon.
