Cleaning service and amenities were great. I was worried about the temperature based on prior reviews, however my room was cool the entire time even with temperature outside being 105°. The rooms even came with an extra fan and dehumidifier. The building is very old and doesn't have an elevator so pack lightly if you're on the 3rd floor.
Had a great stay at the All American Inn on Joint Base Dix! Everything in the room felt nice, clean, and recently updated, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly amazing — not something you always get on base, so that was a huge plus.
One of my favorite touches was the 24/7 complimentary coffee in the lounge. Whether you’re up early for work or getting back late, it’s great having a hot cup ready whenever you need it.
The staff was professional, check-in was smooth, and the location is convenient for anything you need to do on base. Definitely a solid option if you’re visiting JBMDL!
Excellent moderate motel for retired Military traveling in Lakehurst/Toms River area. Clean, secure, comfortable for single or couple. Includes remodeled bath fixtures, microwave and refrigerator with separate small freezer and complimentary washers and dryers. Next to Small Navy Exchange and Commissary stores. No in-house restaurant, but near fast-food and great local Diner within 2-3 miles.
Everything everyone has said about the temperature control is true. Right now there is no A/C. I can turn heat on/off, but my room is already 80+ degrees. I'm sitting here with the window open just trying to cool the room down.
Also, the gym on base is nice, but there is a small gym room in the hotel as well. It is terrible. Contains only a treadmill, elliptical and stair machine. The only problem is that the ceiling in that room is way too low. If you're over 6ft, don't plan on using the treadmill without putting your head through the drop ceiling...
Room was overall very clean -- a small amount of mold in the corner near the shower head. Free coffee wasn't very tasty but still served me well as a vital source of caffeine. The coffee paired well with the pre-packaged brownies and cookies available at the front desk for $1.65 and $1.35, respectively. Brownies were actually pretty tasty. The cookies were alright. Staff were excellent.
