Alpha Counseling Services

I found Alpha by googling other places locally and even some in surrounding towns. First, what I found is that so many places either reply to emails days and some over a week later or simply not at all. It was extremely frustrating because I was going through the worst time in my life and I felt I needed help navigating through it all. I found 2 different counselors in 2 different practices that went to, the first, I knew right away was not the therapist for me. The second I went to 2 appointments and we hadn't touched upon why I was even there. Then I found Alpha. I emailed them, within 15 minutes I had a reply, went thru all the insurance stuff and I was able to get an apt with Joe in the same week.

My first session I was definitely nervous, I had so much going on in my life and felt truly lost. As soon as I walked in and met Joe, I knew this guy would get me. As we spoke I actually felt like I've known him my whole life. One of the things I like and respected about Joe was he's a straight shooter I told him right out of the gate, I don't sugar coat things and I prefer the same. I can say without hesitation Joe has helped me more then I had imagined. He's help me rethink decisions that I made, he has taught me better ways to deal with certain situations that hadn't occurred to me before. I almost wish we had met under different circumstances then me being at the lowest point in my life. But am so greatful to have found Joe and the group at Alpha.

If your looking for a professional group, look no further. I can't stress enough how much they have helped me this past year.

We have been seeing the professionals at Alpha Counseling for a few years and they are amazing. Leonard, Allison and Joe are awesome people and provide insightful treatment that is holistic - they care about helping you improve your entire life, not just your immediate issues. They have been extremely accepting of our LGBT blended family and have helped all of us tremendously through the years.

I have been a patient of Alpha Counseling, as well as my two daughters for about 11 months . The staff and owners and therapists are all wonderful! I am truly satisfied in the caring loving and kind demeanor of everyone who works there! I am very thankful to Joe, my Therapist, who also sees my oldest everything from scheduling, to insurance to counseling sessions has all been a pleasure! I would recommend Alpha counseling to everyone! I have had experience working with several of the therapists for my youngest daughter who are also very talented and helpful One of them is Rebecca and the other one is Rachel they are wonderful! Also Joe has been such a help to me! Thank you Leonard and all of the staff!

The team at Alpha Counseling Services Leonard Pikaard did a wonderful job of thoughtfully connecting the right providers to my family. Joe and Summer both really helped us get through a very overwhelming time and taught us excellent coping strategies. Their therapeutic communication skills are nonjudgmental and kind. Sessions with Joe and Summer are a wonderful experience for those suffering with any difficult transitions, I would definitely highly recommend Alpha Counseling Services.

Dr Anderson is wonderful, patient, and the best psychiatrist I've been with. She actually takes time to know her patients and listen, rather than the quick 15 minute how are you. The real star of the show is her office. Their text line so amazing. They respond quickly and they are kind. I had a lot of issues with my insurance and the office worked with them to get me the help I needed while keeping me up to date on what is going on. They really do make me feel like I'm the only patient in the office which is a 180 from my previous doctors offices. Overall best experience with a mental health professional and a doctors office.
