Bob's Automotive Machine

Been looking to have an engine built for my 91 s10 v8 swap done for years and didnt want to buy a crate engine so went online and was looking for a machine shop to build me a complete engine from carburetor to pan build and saw how great the reviews where for bob’s automotive and figure I would give him a call explained what I was looking for and the owner bob walked me through everything that was needed, Got my engine completed in a timely matter , also was put on their in house engine dyno and was impressed with the torque and horsepower that the engine made. Ripping apart my Harley motor and I saw I had some scoring on the cylinder walls. Asked around and was pointed in Bob’s direction. With the first phone call I knew I was in the right place. Bob has nearly 60 years in the automotive machining business, and it shows. After I called Wiseco to make sure they had pistons in stock, Bob had my cylinders on the appropriate torque plates and started working on em. I dropped them off late on a Tuesday and by Friday morning I was getting a call that my cylinders were done and my pistons came in. Bob walked me through the whole cleaning process and sent me on my way. Bob’s is a family business and everyone there was a huge help. Thanks again guys.

I recently had the block of my 67 Jaguar XKE bored to 0.20 over, decked, and line honed. Bob also remanufactured the rods and balanced the crankshaft. He not only does excellent work but also calls out any quality issues with supplied parts that could compromise the engine rebuild. I very much enjoy doing business with Bob and I’ll be surely coming back.

Been dealing with bob for a long time now. Had an engine block done over 10 years ago same parts in the engine & car still running strong. Took my K series head recently, work was done in a timely manner as always & work is always top notch in my opinion. Have another project I will be bringing soon.
