I attended a funeral officiated by Brown's Funeral Home on June 21, 2024, and was shocked by something I saw.
The funeral assistant, a young woman with long dark hair, was clearly chewing gum as she and a man prepared the casket of the deceased and rolled it out of the church, still occupied by the full congregation!
Call me "old school," but I've always viewed funeral services as a sacred experience, granting the deceased and their grieving family the utmost respect.
In my opinion, it looks disrespectful and unprofessional for anyone from a mortuary staff to be chumping on chewing gum while rendering funeral services. Whoever you are young lady, please stop doing this.
Brown's Funeral Home did an excellent job on my 94 year old father. I was able to meet with them right away. They assisted me with have my father's body transported to Florida. They were caring and compasionate ❤
