Have to say having CJMC in Carteret is a great asset. Ample parking everything very clean. Employees are very courteous and knowledgeable of their work. From time to get in worked and out took less than an hour. Was very pleased overall 100% Happy.
Central Jersey Medical Center – Carteret is a true blessing to our community. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth and professionalism that define their mission. The entire team delivers top-quality care with compassion, but I want to give special appreciation to the front-desk receptionist. Her kindness, patience, and welcoming smile set the tone for every visit and make a real difference when you’re not feeling your best.
This center embodies what community health care should be: accessible, respectful, and thorough. The new facility is clean and comfortable, and the doctors, nurses, and staff listen carefully and never rush. Knowing that CJMC offers affordable, high-quality care to everyone—regardless of insurance—gives me hope and pride in our town.
One thing I must make clear, this facility is not meant for emergency services, there is wait list of around 2-3 weeks… and they will only accommodate one tooth at a time, two if next to each other. Why? Because it’s a 100% government funded facility - they literally get flagged & are not ALLOWED to do more than maintenance, and prevention… basically one tooth at a time for every co-payment, one appointment per day and spread over a two week period. So I had 5 cavities, doing 5 visits in a three-month period. — no exception, and that’s because the are a charity that’s obligated to follow NJ State Regulations. Luckily they are not viciously unprincipled in policy like WFNJ(of DFD/DHS) and they seemingly care.
One thing for sure is that they will never let you forget an appointment, texting and calling to remind you. (They will try to accommodate you if you are late under 20min.)
Thank you, CJMC Carteret, for your outstanding service and for bringing excellent health care close to home.
The dental staff/receptionist here are really great but I was not a fan of Dr. Kim. I was having a small cavity filled and was not informed that I would be receiving a shot to numb until the needle was being stuck into my mouth. I have a very high tolerance for pain and can usually deal, so I felt it very unprofessional to not have been informed prior. After mentioning that, he states “sometimes it’s better to surprise the patient”. First and foremost I don’t trust needles in my face/mouth and second I don’t want to be surprised when you’re working in my mouth. Then after the fill, when pulling the cotton out of my mouth I was stabbed in the lip with the tweezers. Then after drilling away to reshape the tooth for what felt like forever, I was over it and mentioned that it was fine although it still doesn’t feel natural so I’ll wear it down eventually on my own. He seems young, so I’m going to take this as a learning curve, but I will not be returning. I’d rather a more experienced professional.
Very clean. The staff were very friendly. My experience was so pleasant and the dentist made my visits so easy pain free. Love it!!!
