The recent experiences are very unprofessional. I have additional days added due to a major surgical procedure, the first hha sent stole a 60 piece supply of garbage bags. She also asked my family member to " hook up her baby hair". Next weekend their hha called out for a 9a.m. arrival, took Preferred Home Hlth Care 6 hours to get a replacement 6&1/2 hours later who could only commit to half an 8 hr shift. She went to supermarket literally 4 minutes away and didn't return for an hour. Claimed to be stuck in elevator, never heard elevator signal as would be heard. When she returned she had 3 bags of groceries. Who shops for home on a 4 hour work shift? Preferred home health Aide sent to my home. When I received call back from "on call woman", she was immediately hateful towards me accepting hha story of stuck on elevator an hour afterwards. Clearly the/their assigned to me hha is sure her employer doesn't care to guide them/her to be better as a "good employee/care provider". The "on call" is absolutely fine with blatant insubordination. She was very nasty to me as if I'm wrong for seeking her assistance in their insubordinate hha. That temperament is meant to intimidate disabled or and recovering from physical condition men and women. She doesn't intimidate me. I found her very unprofessional and inept at making Preferred a preference in general.
My Coordinator there is great, she found me a great Mon-Friday hha, it took months to find her, and I am fortunate. May take months for a weekend hha during my recovery. Be wary and mindful not to take mess from some of the "on calls" or anyone. You have a Right to proper and efficient, respectful care in your home.
