So glad we made the switch. Dr. Bohdan Kiyko And his staff are wonderful. Clean, big modern space. Was able to accommodate my husband and I and our two dogs in one room. Included bloodwork that made for the most thorough exam. Very convenient location on the garwood , cranford border with big parking lot.
From the moment you walk into Cranford Animal Hospital, you can tell it’s something special. The facility is brand new, modern, and state-of-the-art, but what truly sets it apart is the people who bring it to life.
On both of my visits—one a routine check-up, the other an urgent care visit—the level of professionalism and genuine care was outstanding. Nancy at the front desk set the tone right away with her warm, welcoming presence, and both Daeshawn and Brittni, the vet technicians, went above and beyond to make my two kittens feel safe and cared for. Dr. Kiyko’s expertise and compassion tied it all together, leaving me with complete confidence that my fur babies were in the best possible hands.
It’s rare to find a facility where every single person you interact with makes you feel supported, informed, and valued, but Cranford Animal Hospital achieves exactly that. The attention to detail, the compassion shown, and the top-to-bottom professionalism make this place a true gem for pet owners.
If you’re searching for a veterinary hospital that treats your pets like family, look no further—Cranford Animal Hospital is where you want to be.

I rarely leave reviews, however, since I know how hard it can be to find a good veterinarian - especially one you can trust, I’m posting this for other pet parents who may be looking for a doctor.
This is a relatively new location, which is clean and modern- and while that’s important, what sets this practice apart are the people who work there. From the moment you step through the front door you are greeted by competent and compassionate staff. From the receptionist to the doctor, himself, it’s clear that everyone is there because they care about animals.
The office is very well run - I’ve never waited more than a few minutes between walking in and seeing the doctor. Ever. This probably doesn’t mean much to others, but to me it’s a testament to how competent everyone there is.
This summer, I adopted a new cat, Karma, and brought her in for additional vaccines and to “start a file” for her. I also brought my 5 year old cat, Jinx, for a regular visit (I read somewhere that if one cat goes to the vet and comes home smelling like the vet it makes them unrecognizable to the other cats in the house and can cause aggression - so I wanted to avoid that)
While there it was discovered that Jinx had tooth decay and was in considerable pain (I had no idea) and would need surgery to remove his teeth. 🥺 The doctor gave me several options, but ultimately I decided to take his advice and scheduled the surgery.
As can be expected, a procedure that would require sedation and an overnight stay definitely isn’t cheap, but it wasn’t exorbitant.
Fortunately, I was in a position where I could afford to get it done immediately, but I was offered a few payment / treatment options, which I definitely appreciated.
The procedure was a success and within a few days, a now pain free Jinx was like a new cat 🥰
It is so important to find a veterinarian that you can trust - both in terms of competence but also ethics - and I am so grateful to Dr Nazar and the team at Cranford Veterinary Hospital.
