I'm a huge fan of Crown Chicken, and my family and I order from there all the time! We love supporting local businesses and getting a taste of our community. The chicken is amazing - it reminds me of my old neighborhood and brings back great memories.
However, I have to say that the mashed potatoes I ordered today were a major letdown. I've had them before, but this time I actually ate them, and... wow. The gravy tastes like something you'd put in your car, like fuel oil or something! I'm not sure what went wrong, but please, please fix it! Don't give us a reason to stop ordering from you, because the chicken is fire!
I just want Crown Chicken to keep doing what they're doing with the chicken, and ditch the bad gravy. We're loyal customers, and we want to keep coming back!
Staff is very friendly to have nice chats with, gives off a warm comfortable vibes. Food is 10/10. I got the beef gyro and it’s perfect how it comes. Will be coming more often!
The price was great. The rice with a little on the oily side, but the food was solid. Menu is HUGE so mileage may vary. Guy who runs the place is friendly and outgoing.
Absolutely incredible!!!! Can’t beat the price and the FLAVOR anywhere!!! I got the mixed platter on Monday evening and treated a friend. Total wasn’t even over $30. I got the mixed platter (less than $15) which included delicious (some of the most flavorful) rice, generous CHICKEN & LAMB portion AND!! a drink! They got fish and fries! Which was so crispy and delicious! You can’t find that anywhere nowadays. And not for nothing, the flavor was some of the best I had. Absolute gem! Owner always greets you with a huge smile and the best energy! So happy you’re there and you feel so welcome :)
It’s a great value on the way to the beach (Sandy Hook) quality ~ price! The food was delicious! We got 2 mixed platters chicken & lamb with basmati rice and side salad, herb spicy dairy free dressing + 2 small waters included! The portions are BIG! We only paid 23$ for all! Everything’s halal. And such a nice man works there too! Definitely recommend!
