Dr. Halper and her office staff are friendly, professional, and prompt. They are available in the evening and on the weekends, and have fitted me in for a last minute appointment many times. Regarding a previous reviewer's comment that you must wait a long time: of course patients must wait for their turn, but I have always been seen promptly on schedule when I make an appointment in advance and arrive slightly early ( I can't speak to wait times for drop-ins or for folks who show up late).
They can draw blood there too, which is convenient. They also treat my husband, and were willing to grandfather him in as a new patient under our insurance (which they no longer accept from new patients--our health insurance provider is not the easiest to work with for doctors, so we are grateful to all doctors who continue to cooperate with this company). On this note, her office staff obligingly scanned 100s of pages of my previous medical file and liaised with our insurance company over a long period to resolve a billing dispute. I disagree with another review which casts this office as unprofessional; I have enjoyed the chit-chat with the ladies at the front desk and with the nurses there, who are all skilled and have answered my questions. Lastly, I want to say that I feel confident in the expertise and wisdom of Dr. Halper. If you are looking for a good, simple, sound, and no-nonsense medical provider in the Somerville/Bridgewater/Branchburg area, South Branch Family Practice is a good choice.

I adore Dr. Halper! She has been my doctor for probably almost 20 years now. I have always found her to be thorough and caring. I never have a problem getting an appointment, and I find her staff to be friendly and caring as well.
