My mother was on at home hospice care with Embracing Care. The intake process was easy and procedures were explained. I'd like to commend some of the staff that took care of her. Her aide, Berta is an angel, she is so gentle and kind even when my mother's dementia caused her to be aggressive. I would call Emmanuel a gentle giant, at the end of Mom's life she had daily wound care and Emmanuel was always extremely kind and gentle. Our nurse, Alvira, was knowledgeable, caring and easy to talk to or ask questions regarding our concerns. Each one of these staff members explained the signs we might see as part of the dying process.

My 95-year-old mother was at Meadow Lakes in East Winsdor and went into hospice care in October, even though ahe was not yet in the "active dying" phase. Embracing Hospice was wonderful to us. I got separate calls within a few days from a lead nurse/coordinator, chaplain, and the social worker, with all offering phone numbers to call them at any time. Mom had daily visits that brightened her mood, according to ML staff, and when the time came rather suddenly this past December, when a fall was followed by a rapid decline in functioning, all the medications and EH staff were on hand. We received bedside nursing around the clock for the final 5 days of her life and as family was with her for around 12 hours each day, we were able to observe the care and, most importantly, the caring nature of the care received. We even had to encourage a couple of the staff to please take a break as it seemed like they were hesitant to leave her for any amount of time, even though we were there. We are very grateful for everything done for the family during this difficult time.
