Fanwood Transmission truly deserves recognition!
I’ve had ongoing transmission issues with my vehicle since the day I bought it—multiple replacements from other shops, and the same problems kept coming back. It was extremely frustrating. I finally brought it to Fanwood Transmission, and I can confidently say it was the best decision I made.

They rebuilt the transmission and did such a fantastic job. I purposely waited a while before writing this review to make sure everything held up—and it absolutely has. The car drives better than ever, and I haven’t had a single issue since. It’s clear they are true specialists in transmissions, and they take pride in doing the job right the first time.

Highly recommend this place if you’re having transmission problems—they know exactly what they’re doing and deliver quality work.

Very knowledgeable and cooperative

I've had years of dealing with fluid leaks from my 2006 Honda V-6 2dr cpe. After I moved this summer(2023) to Plainfield, inquiries at service stations and auto parts stores led me to Sal's Fanwood Auto Transmissions. Three leaks, one requiring dropping the transmission to replace a seal, were cured. All repairs were within estimates that were well below others offered "back down south." I'll add it was a pleasure doing business there and talking with Sal and "the crew."
