GenPsych PC

GenPsych Avenel has been a wonderful, difficult, and worthy experience. DBT is something that you have to actively practice and put effort into if you want to get something out of it, it works if you work it. I’ve really enjoyed the program and all that it entails. They helped me changed my perspective, learn to give myself more grace, and to remember that I need to put the oxygen mask on myself before I can take care of anybody else. Healing is supposed to be a messy, beautiful, fragile, difficult process. If it were easy, wouldn’t everyone be doing it already?

Thad an absolutely amazing experience at GenPsych! I had no idea what to expect, or how this place was going to help me. But I was desperate. I no longer had any desire to participate in my own life. I needed help. I came in physically shaking, severely anxious and beyond depressed. The Psych Nurse Practitioner, each and every counselor, and all the therapists have been truly amazing! They were all kind, caring and extremely compassionate. I never once felt judged. The skills l've learned here will be carried throughout my life. The entire experience has been a
tremendous blessing in my life, and I will forever be grateful. I came in scared, hopeless and full of fear. I was merely existing. I now look forward to what life has to offer. I look forward to waking up in the morning and see what the day will bring. I have a whole new appreciation for my family, my life, my children and my job. I feel like a whole new and empowered woman. I cannot be any more grateful for this experience. I will miss everyone, including the
connections I have made with the other clients/patients while I was there. They have truly become friends with a special bond and strong ties. I will remember each and every one with only fond memories. We've shared our struggles, our tears and our laughter. We've built each other up, and there's no looking back. My heart is filled with gratitude for the existence of this place called GenPsych.
