have been going here for about 8 years now, seen the kids grow up to fine young adults. you know the food is gonna slap when u see the kid take your order and and be on the phone taking other orders like its no issue. family ran business and much respect to that. food has always hit hard and its the only takeout place thats local and can rely on. love it here

Went to get ice cream next door, decided to stop in and grab dinner to go. Golden City is small, but very clean, with nice servers. Our order was taken fast and was very well packaged and arrived home hot. The food was okay, pretty generic, nothing outstanding, but it was fresh and not greasy of a bit sweet.

We have ordered from here 3 or 4 times before over the last several months. Food was good, delivery was fast and price was fair. I called tonight to place an order for myself. Which I have ordered before with no problems without a minimum. Tonight I called for the same order General tso chicken combination and a pint of white rice. They have delivered just that before no issue. Tonight there was a minimum to deliver. So I added one shrimp egg roll. Still was not enough. So I had to add beef sticks. Finally was enough. Then they asked would I like to tip on the card so I said yes add 5 dollars for the driver. It’s only a few minutes away. I got a weird text like like from a door dash delivery service saying your order has been confirmed then another text saying your delivery has been picked up and then another text after it was dropped off with photo verification. It’s like they’re using a third party delivery service now. Very weird never before has this happened when ordering from them. Then I look at the receipt and they added a 5 dollar delivery charge. Plus the 5 dollar tip I gave them. If I wanted to pay door dash price I would have used door dash. Me and my girlfriend usually spend less than the 36.47 dollar bill I received tonight for just me to eat, plus the 5 dollar tip I gave them which brings it to 41.47 for one person to eat Chinese take out. Beware ordering from here if you don’t want to be charged a delivery fee without your knowledge and then adding additional tip. Compete bullshit.

We’ve been living in the area for a while but finally decided to try this for takeout and definitely hit the spot. My go to is Sesame chicken and it was really good. I’ll be checking out the other items on the menu.
