Highly recommended shop. I dropped in basically looking for help in getting some gear set up and did not leave disappointed. I am very new to fly fishing and the owner spent ALOT of his time helping me get set up and on my way to the river. True Professional!! This was my first visit to the shop. I was up in the area looking for some good water. Freddy put me on a great part of the Flat Brook. His knowledge of Euro Nymphing was impeccable! Freddy was a true gentleman and a pro. He took his time explaining things and gave me directions to the location. Even after I got lost he took 2 phones calls from me to make sure I got there. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional outfitter!!! Thank you
Excellent experience my first time at golden stone. Fredy was so helpful in giving me some locations to fish for my first time up in the north here. He gave me a great selection of flies and I’m excited to head out and fish later. Will definitely think about taking a guide with him and always use golden stone for any fly fishing needs.
