This place was so much fun. My son and I had such a wonderful time and created tons of memories ❤️ it was his 1st time ever, and I loved it.

Awesome Hockey Rink. Very friendly staff. $12 to get in. $6 for skates. I would call plan ahead and call early and ask for skates with good laces in your size. I arrived after the 3pm start and got the last pair in my size which had worn out laces. Luckily I had a pin to pull them thru and lace up quick. get there before the starting time in case there are any issues getting the kids' skates on. There are small trailer bathrooms up a few steps.

Very disappointed with the ice skating rink set up each year - by a private company who also operates a rink in Union, NJ - in Gumbert Park. There is no seating to watch your kids on the ice, no bleachers like in regular ice rinks. They didn't build them into the temp tent and rink design. Lots of safety issues - trip hazards on hoses and especially concerning is the lack of an onsite AED (See pic). Other pics are with my phone camera zoomed all the way. And if your kid - or in my case grandkids- can't skate, good luck with their so called group lessons. They hired snarky high schoolers who don't know how to teach little kids to skate. And there's no onsite supervison of those instructors or really any of the staff. I'm afraid it might become "Lord of the Flies" on ice.

Gumbert Park is a very nice park, with several good baseball fields. I enjoyed it here. The only weird part is that the stands are behind the dugout. It is difficult to see the game from that vantage point.
Bring a chair and sit down the foul lines so you can see.
