We enrolled our child in this gymnastics program with high expectations, hoping for structured coaching, engagement, and individual attention. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations.
Over time, it became clear that the training sessions lacked energy and effectiveness.

The coaching often felt dull and repetitive, with minimal effort to actively engage the children or tailor instruction to individual skill levels. Most of the sessions appeared to follow a one-size-fits-all approach, which made it difficult for kids who needed extra guidance or encouragement to stay motivated.

What concerned us most was the limited individual attention given to the children. In a class setting, this may be understandable to some extent, but there was little observable correction, feedback, or hands-on guidance from the trainers. As a parent, it’s disappointing to see a child lose interest due to a lack of meaningful interaction and instruction.

While the facility itself is adequate and the staff is polite, the overall coaching quality and engagement level were not a good fit for our child. Because of this, we decided to withdraw our child from the program.

This program may work for families looking for very basic exposure to gymnastics, but parents seeking attentive coaching, active instruction, and child-focused engagement may want to explore other options.

This is a busy kids gymnasium right by NJ 18. My kid loves and looks forward to being here every Saturday. The facility is well maintained and has ample parking space. All the coaches are friendly and we like Coach Hannah in particular. She is friendly, encouraging, kind and has a way with kids. Our son is just 2 yrs old but trusts her when he has to take a plunge or roll over. We have seen his skills improve over time and a huge credit goes to her and the gym.

If you are at or close by East Brunswick and looking for a good kids’ gymnasium, look no further.

My 2 year old really wants to tumble, and glad we found head over heels so we can learn to tumble safely. He is having a great time definitely recommend

Our family has been part of the Head Over Heels community for over 10 years, and it’s truly been a second home for our children. From their very first cartwheel to mastering new skills with confidence, this gym has played a huge role in their development—not just physically, but emotionally and socially.

What makes Head Over Heels exceptional isn’t just the programs (which are fantastic), but the people. Carol in the front office is a gem—always welcoming, organized, and kind. Coach Nikki brings energy and encouragement that lights up the gym. The homeschool teaching coaches have been phenomenal, and we’re especially grateful for Melinda and Ms. Millie, whose patience and dedication have made a lasting impact.

This place is more than a gymnastics facility—it’s a nurturing environment where kids are celebrated, challenged, and supported.

Great program for my 6 y/o. She loves coming to class and I see a huge change in her confidence. The facility is very clean. The coaches are incredibly kind and patient.
I started her once a week but she loved it so much so I signed her up for twice a week. Both classes are 6 girls (the most) to one coach. So she gets a lot of attention. I am really happy with the program.
