Dr Hughes always listened to me and treated me with empathy and compassion. Highly recommend
I'd highly recommend her to anyone who needs a PCP - however, that being said, good luck trying to get an appt here. I called to try and r/s an appt and was told her next available was 4 months out! I've been a patient of Dr. Hughes for several years now, following her to many different practices - and while I'm not the biggest fan of Capital Health, I definitely will continue to see her (I now live about an hour from her office in Bordentown). Very down to earth physician who knows what she's talking about. My only complaint (and this is probably more an issue with Capital Health) is that she is so booked. If you need to see her or get a hold of her urgently, it is extremely hard/nearly impossible.
Dr. Hughes has been my doctor for years. In 2017 during an appointment she shocked me when she suspected I may have a significant emergent medical issue. I thought she was being over cautious as I am a healthy person who’s never had any major issues. Long story short she saved my life. Had it not been for her I would have died most likely within 24 hours. While in the emergency room I was told that my doctor (Dr. Hughes) made “a good call” I told everyone oh no that woman saved my life. I was admitted for a while and Dr. Hughes called to speak with me to see how I was doing. Not only is she an exceptional physician, she treats her patients like they matter, she spends time with them, she listens, and she actually cares.
