After our most recent power outage, we called JLC Electric to get a quote for a whole house generator install. From our first call to the office to the timely quote to install and inspections, the entire staff was very professional and courteous. We spoke to Michelle in the office who coordinated all appointments for us from permit to final inspection.

The owner Mike personally came out to give us a quote on the installation and explained the entire process to us as to where the generator would go, what we needed to do on our end to make sure that we would pass inspection on the first go round (ie removing shrubs, trees etc).

All of the technicians that came out to our home were professional, neat and reliable (they showed up exactly when they said they would). When they completed their work inside my home, I had no idea that any work was done in my home. They put everything back exactly how they found it. They answered all of our inquires in regard to setup and what we need to or not do on our end.

If you are looking to deal with actual humans and not a recorded message to make appointments for installation or service calls, we highly recommend JLC Electric as they are very professional, honest and not pushy like some of the other companies out there. Highly recommend them.

JLC installed an upgraded circuit panel and full house generator for us. Their work was performed with a staff who were professional, well experienced, competent, and all completed in a timely manner. Could not be happier with the way they conducted this project.

We found JLC Electrical Services as a recommended electrical company on the Everything Frederick FB site. We contacted Joe and he set us up for an estimate, which was reasonable for the three items we wanted to accomplish (install light fixture, install ceiling fan, install floor outlet). Recently contacted JLC Electrical Contractors to schedule a quote for a whole house generator. No voice mail or chatbot when I called; just a friendly professional voice (Michelle). She set everything up and also provided clarification and further details during several followup calls. Mike, the owner, personally came out to my home the next business day. He was great! Very friendly, thorough and professional. He did not speak down to me and explained the entire process from permitting, coordinating with the gas company and the requirements and lay-out of the wiring, generator and related components. He followed up by text and phone without pressuring me into a sale and also offered a discount. Exceptional people to deal with and I can highly recommend them for your generator and other electrical work!

We needed an EV charger installed. I called JLC from a family recommendation. Michael responded immediately. He asked a few questions and I sent photos. But he insisted on coming down to look at my circuit box first himself. When he sent us his quote he explained absolutely everything within it! He answered all of our questions as well. He also told us what our options were and what his suggestions were. We felt very comfortable with him as he was extremely knowledgeable...even knew our Township codes. We set an appointment and the guys (Steve and Scott) showed up on time. They told me what they were going to do and made sure it was in line with what the boss had said. They were so personable and friendly! They did the work, (excellent job!) and cleaned up as well! Michael stayed in contact through the process. They also set up all the labels on the circuit box and matched them to everything in the house!
The job entailed installing the 40 Juicebox EV Battery charger, and upgrading our Circuit box for the necessary GFI needed for it. They took out our antiquated circuit box (see photos) and put in a brand new one! We are very very happy with the work! Thanks so much to Mike, Steve and Scott! We will definitely call on them again when needed!
