Lakeside Kennel & Cattery

Lakeside Kennel was amazing!! We boarded our fearful pup Ollie with them and they were so accommodating! He really struggled in his kennel so they let him hang out in the quiet office and grooming room. Ollie has extreme fearfulness and they handled it so well! They even kept us updated with texts and pictures of his progress! Can't thank you all enough!

We aren't exactly sure how this place has such high ratings. We boarded our dog here for two weeks while we took a trip abroad. We typically board elsewhere, but we were looking to try a new place for cost reasons. The first thing that gave us a red flag was that when we arrived, we were not allowed in the facility at all. We had to wait in some outdoor patio space, and when the door opened, we couldn't see a single thing inside. In our previous boarding experiences, we could always see the kennels during drop off and pick up. But we felt like we weren't in a position to complain, so we obliged. We did get photos during our dogs board. We could see in the photos that the space itself looked rather grimy and uncomfortable for a dog. But she looked okay, even though most photos focused on her face. However, what shocked us the most, was what we saw when we picked our dog up. She looked emaciated, her hip bones and ribs were showing badly. We weighed her at home and we found out she lost 18 percent of her body weight in two weeks. Mind you, we pre-packed food, as directed, and followed the portioning guidelines as advised by the brand of food. We've boarded her many times long term before and we've never seen her lose anything like that before. Even by some chance, if it was a medical issue, why did no one call us to tell us she wasnt eating or was ill or at least acknowledge it at pick up? We learned our lesson though, never again.

Very friendly and responsive

We boarded our pets with them for just over 1 week. When we picked up our cats they were pretty relaxed with freshly trimmed nails. Pick up and drop off were both seamless. The staff was quick to answer questions ahead of time and responsive while we were away.

Whenever I travel, I take my kitty Pippa to Lakeside Kennel. The staff is awesome and Pippa is on various medications and she gets excellent care during her stay. I love that I can check in whenever I want and see pics of Pip posted daily on Facebook.

I have been taking my blind, elderly dog to this kennel for a while now. The staff is always very responsive to my voicemails and e-mails and eager to help me with my needs whether it’s boarding or grooming. My dog always seems excited when i get there to drop him off which is a good sign and he always looks and smells great when I have him groomed. The prices are very good and the location is on a main road in Voorhees and easy to access.
