I would have given them a much higher rating if they weren't playing games with us. The location is very pretty and they have a large deck area too. My sister was there daily looking after my mom and she got along with everyone. The nurses took good care of her during the overnight hours. HOWEVER, after my mother passed, they owed us a full months reimbursement bc you have to pay a month in advance and she died the previous month. Although the admin staff have acknowledged they owe us that reimbursement, they are no longer returning calls or communicating with us now going on 90 days and counting. This is mucking up the estate dispersement which is becoming a big issue.
My dear friend is at Little Brook for now. I have to say they are so caring and kind! It's a big adjustment when one is still able-bodied. They have helped her feel welcome and truly cared for. When ever I have called for someone to assist her with something they took care of it so quickly! Because of being a smaller facility they really know all the residents and their needs. I would recommend Little Brook highly!
My mother was a resident of Little Brook for many many years and I cannot say enough good things about it. It has a warm and caring environment that always caused me to trust that they were giving my mother the best of care. Many of the staff were there for years and they were patient and compassionate at all times. Their handling of the COVID epidemic was cutting edge and remarkably successful. If I had to make the decision again, I would again choose Little Brook. I highly recommend it.
My mother has been at Little Brook for almost two years and in that time, I have visited frequently and at various times, so I have witnessed the functioning of the home and the activities and care of the residents at unexpected times and found it to be excellent. My mother seems to be happy and I credit the social director, Ann, with this accomplishment. She works hard to keep the residents occupied and engaged, and it is much appreciated. The dedication of the staff is a direct correlation to the zero positive Covid residents. I am very comfortable with my mother being a resident at Little Brook, with its low resident number, and look forward to seeing her in person again. The staff has been very helpful in prioritizing the ability to face time. I highly recommend this facility and hope that they continue with their plans to renovate, since this is the only area in which they lack.
My mother had been in other, larger facilities, the most recent prior to LB drugged her with antidepressants and kept her in bed 22 hours a day. I like Littlebrook for the size. It really is more like a family than a facility and its in a lovely location. The internet speed needs updating but the care (which is more important) is top shelf!
