Today we say goodbye to this quiet, cozy place. I want to give a special mention to Esteban, Edgar, and the other guys in the kitchen. They were so kind and warm, especially with my son with autism who only eats a specific menu. They kindly always had his food ready and just right. Thank you so much, guys.

I have been involved with Cross Roads for decades. I raised my son (now 23!) there starting with family camp when he was 3. He started attending youth camp in 3rd grade and attended multiple weeks every summer through joining the staff. Cross Roads, and especially Anthony Briggs, are what I know was integral in instilling the values I held at home. When it came time for my son to choose a Confirmation sponsor he asked Anthony ... he knew and trusted who Anthony is because of his experience with him both at summer camp and in year round youth programs.
In the summer of 2024 I served as chaplain for a week and brought 6 anxious first time campers ach with a set of anxious first time parents! 100% of the kids are excited for 2025 and 100% of the parents are now completely comfortable and SO AMAZED at the experiences their kids continue to share about their week at camp. Within the group there were extreme food preferences for which the staff made special grocery runs to ensure the camper was eating. Another child had some complex medical needs requiring one on one attention and tracking by the camp nurse. Both mom and daughter are so thankful for her expertise and attention. These kids had such an incredible week that we have a good chance of doubling the size of our group this year! The staff are deeply and broadly screened, trained and prepared. The whole staff demonstrates love, community, care, respect, and abing faith. Wouldn't send our kids anywhere else ... the best of the best.

Cross Roads turns 25 this year and that means that I’ve had 25 good years of wonderful experiences with this organization. I’ve visited and stayed at many other camps and retreat centers and have yet to find one with staff as kind, communities as welcoming, and food as good (seriously it is not just “camp food”!!!!).

I spent weeks of camp at Cross Roads as a child, where my faith and confidence were nurtured and I enjoyed new activities that I wouldn’t have tried elsewhere. I didn’t love the outdoors, and yet the cabins and other buildings were comfortable even for me. If you have children and are looking for a safe and fun overnight camp, Cross Roads is your place.

I spent summers as a counselor living in the cabins and supporting campers of all ages who had a fantastic week or more playing and singing and laughing. I grew as a leader because of my experiences with Cross Roads and built lifelong relationships. If you are a young adult or know a young adult looking for a summer job, Cross Roads is your place.

And as an adult, I’ve spent weekends at retreats in the retreat centers and during the pandemic, the camp was an open space that I could come to and even meet friends and family for social-distancing visits. If you are looking for a place to bring a group for a day or a weekend or longer, where all your needs are met and you can reconnect with nature, Cross Roads is your place.

Thank you to the staff, the Board, and everyone who helps keep Cross Roads going for the next 25 years and the 25 after that!!

We sent my older son to camp back in 2009 and we have loved every minute we have spent there. From summer camp to retreats, all 4 seasons, camp is a sacred place to connect with God and each other. The camp staff is professional, caring, and Christ centered. The camp is inclusive and welcoming. Where heaven and Earth meet for sure!!

Great place -- Nora was amazing to work with before and during our church retreat. We went in Nov so did not have issues with a/c, but hear was good, showers HOT and kitchenettea in both our buildings so coffee and such easy to make each am. Albeit simple, Breakfast was our favorite and they always had fresh brewed Decaf so I was thrilled!! Thanks for a wonderful place for us to encounter God in !!
