Great crab dip and the crab cakes had a good amount of lump crab meat in them. Wish they gave a full set up of butter or sour cream for the sides of bakes potato and corn on the cob. Lobster roll needed more butter. Would go back again.

We’ve been coming to lobster dock for years now on our annual vacation down to the shore. It’s a casual place that always has a solid, tasty selection of food for dinner. At our 6:15 dinner, we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive our appetizer order of mussels. We’re not ones to complain and we understand places get busy. But I can’t comprehend how they would continue to seat people if the kitchen is taking ~1.5 hours just to deliver food. As other reviews had also mentioned, the kitchen seems to be prioritizing large takeout orders before the customers in their dining room. Compliments to the waitstaff for staying positive and still being attentive towards their tables. It’s such a shame because the food is good, but unfortunately if this is a constant problem, as many reviews have indicated, a restaurant should really take the time to figure out the problems in the kitchen so they can turn over tables and have satisfied customers. By not fixing the problem after many poor reviews, you’re doing your waitstaff, who rely on good tips as a part of their hourly pay, and your customers a disservice. Do better.

We waited 45 minutes before only 1 of our 2 appetizers arrived… the crab dip was so salty…. Then came our peel and eat shrimp… over cooked… the waitress was lovely and very apologetic about having to wait for our food, When our food finally arrived it wasn’t that good. My son ordered a Connecticut lobster roll, over cooked lobster, my husband the blackened mahi sandwich over cooked also… and they forgot our order of chicken tenders which arrived after we’d all finished eating. The waitress did take that off our bill… we went there for a quick bite… hour and half later we left… I blame the kitchen staff, the poor waitresses were rushing around apologizing to everyone.

Things got off to an iffy start as everyone around us seemed angry at waiting for service or food. We were worried, but as the food came, the dissatisfaction with spotty service seemed canceled out by the impressive portions and delicious food. The place seems to be in transition of some sort as there are unused bar areas just sitting as eyesores. If they clean up the decor and iron out the flow it's a five star place for sure.

After a wonderful day at Seaside playing games, winning prizes, experiencing rides and watching the future generation of "content creators" we decided to try our luck with a restaurant on boardwalk. Despite warning my wife that "all food on the boardwalk is garbage" she coorced me into trying out Lobster Dock, and boy-oh-boy did it not dissapoint!

Service was fine enough, but when my salmon arrived it was immediately apparent that it was completely undercooked. After sending it back to the kitchen to be, ya know, cooked, I realized the my daughter's kids hamburger was also basically raw (see picture) . Thankfully my son didn't eat his cheeseburger, because upon further inspection we also realized that it was also served to him severely undercooked (see other picture). The corn that was served with my meal was also cold, but at this point I wasn't expecting much else from this establishment.

Server was kind enough to refund the uncooked food (again, server was fine).

Considering the restaurant's prime location on the boardwalk, I'm assuming that the quality of the food is of minimal importance for this business. None the less, if you're looking for food on the boardwalk, Lobster Dock is no different from anywhere else - garbage.

I take that back. Lobster Dock does have one differentiating factor. It seperates itself from the rest of the pack with its outrageously high prices.

TLDR: If you're going to eat food on the boardwalk stick with delicious zeppolies. They're cheap, delicious and pretty much guaranteed to be fully cooked.
